OK i had this same problem. it Seems to happen with firefox3. To uninstall it u have to go in the add/remove programs and uninstall crawler toolbar (the installation is not handle by firefox) i did that to get around the problem. I Managed to get it uninstalled. But the real problem occured when i try to install the latest version of the crawler toolbar 1.2 That starts firefox with the submit crashreport window and firefox never works. The crashreport always fail to submit... I Have to start in safemode to disable it. Reproducible: Yes Problem with crawler toolbar 1.1 1. Have firefox3 installed 2. Install webguard or sypwareterminator (They will both install crawler toolbar 1.1) 3. Start firefox3 and the problem exist. Problem with crawler toolbar 1.2 1. Have firefox3 installed 2. Install crawler toolbar 1.2 3. Start and firefox will crash.(Has to be start in safe mode)
extensions.cache, extensions.ini, extensions.log, extensions.rdf
A third party application is providing the extension for Firefox to use. Firefox will not uninstall these, they are meant to be managed by the third party application and from comment 3 it appears that that is working.
