This works fine for me with the latest 3.0 build on Windows XP. Have you tried: - Firefox's safe-mode to exclude extension/theme problems - a new profile - a reinstall in a new empty folder? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode_(Firefox) http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Folder
Tried safe-mode, did not help Reinstalled in a new folder. Did not help New profile? I decided to delete it and to uninstall completely. Did so and now it works. I have upgraded FF before without problems though. Should I have uninstalled FF2 before installing?
Normally it is not necessary to uninstall the previous version. But sometimes other programs, legal or not, install badly written (spyware) code in Mozilla Firefox folder and in this case deleting the folder before reinstalling should solve the problem. In your case it seems a corrupted profile. Can happen. Resolving worksforme.
