PR1 had search button outside to look more like a typical search on a web page. PR2 moved it inside of the URL field. Does moving it inside mean nobody uses it as a standalone button anymore? Uability feedback please, and a decision for nsbeta3.

we (Ben, Don, me and other contributors) decided it would be moved outside the urlbar, ben was about to check it in. This is based on the following motivation: Search button can also be used standalone (without having typed into urlbar) reducing visual complexity of urlbar Re-assign to Ben as he has the code ready to go. Reopening bug - this fix has been checked in with no problems for beta3, but it was supposed to go into beta2. Why is it urgent enough to put into beta2 at this point? Netcenter has built a thorough tracking scheme to monitor the traffic of this search button in beta2 and compare it with the home page and traffic / effectiveness of the search button in 4.x. This is key for future business estimates and usability and for us to verify that we do not have to change the UI for business or usability reasons. In other words, if no one uses this button, we need to know now so we can fix that critical usability problem. If we wait to test this in beta3, we may be forced to make a post beta3 UI change, and we would not have the data until 2 - 3 weeks after beta3. nsbeta2 nominee - for the Search button only (other bug has more UI stuff involved that is not part of beta2).
