User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0 Build Identifier: Firefox 3 works normally for a user with a local home directory. For a user with an AFP network home directory, firefox runs, but nothing (back and forward buttons, reload, stop, address bar, search bar) in the toolbar is usable, except the home button. Buttons are gray, and I can put the cursor in the address or search bars, but typed characters aren't echoed. Trying to select "manage search engines" causes a crash. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run FF3 as a user with a network home directory (not a 'mobile' home, just one mounted from an AFP server) 2. Nothing in the navigation bar works Tried making ~/Application Support/Firefox a link to a local directory, this didn't work either. Asked on a mac forum: http://forums.macosxhints.com/showthread.php?t=90870 in case it was just me, and haven't seen much discussion of it, but at least one other person confirms a similar issue.

Appears to be a duplicate of 417037, not sure why that didn't turn up in my search.
