Just use the "Add an attachment" link here. Don't post imageshack links.

Have you altered the zoom at all? The test requires that you do not, and it's known that doing so breaks it for us. (see bug 289480)

Goto the test page, then do view->zoom->reset, then refresh the page.
Sorry about that. I have posted the image as an attachment. I have not altered the zoom at all. I tried your suggestion, but it still fails.

It may cuased by some extention that can block OBJECT embedding.
When using NoScript, it is needed do "Temporary allow damowmow.com" to pass acid2.
Screenshot attached shows that it is not running in safe mode.
Actually the only extensions I am using right now are the McAfee SiteAdvisor and BitTorrent DNA.

I know that, but I had tried running it in safe mode as well.

Safe mode disables extensions, not plugins. (yeah, I know, that's stupid)

Please disable EVERYTHING and test. Use safe mode and disable all plugins from the add-ons manager.

If you still get this problem in a new profile, then that makes me think this is a plugin's fault.
To pass Acid2 , web server's response MUST NOT be overwrited.
And, your web security software or proxy server may overwrite them.

Hello Dave, you were right. By disabling all plugins (not extensions), Firefox 3 passes Acid2. So does this mean that there's a plugin causing this problem?

Enable them back one at a time to find out which one is the culprit. (restart Firefox after each re-enable, just to be safe) Please post back here when you've identified the culprit.
I believe it is BitTorrent Plugin 1, obtained by installing the client from www.bittorrent.com.

It's BitTorrent v6.0.3. Try installing the client from www.bittorrent.com, and then restart the computer. Then try running the Acid2 test on Firefox 3.

Tested in a Windows XP SP3 VirtualBox with Firefox 3.0 and BitTorrent (Mainline) 6.0.3. Confirmed. This stupid plugin breaks Acid2. Also tested Acid3 and it makes it stall at 51 and stops at 70 instead of 71.
