sometimes i use the firefox search box to search (for example google),
and sometimes i use the google web page UI to search.

the problem is: 
1. when i use the web page UI the history is only from the web page search history. 
2. when i use the firefox search box the history is only from the search box.

firefox need to the share search history between these two UI.

this need to work not just for google search box history but for all search engines

I didn't understand. Can you write steps to reproduce the problem?

i do my best.

1. go to google homepage and search for (for example) "speed test".
2. go again to google homepage and search for "sp", as you can see in the search history you have "speed test", so instead of typing "speed test" you can select it from your search history.

3. now, go to the search bar (select google) and type only "sp", as you can see "speed test" is not on the search history.

Ok, I have understood now. I think it should be hard to do, but it's useful.

of course it need to work also in the opposite way (from the search bar to the page history) and in all engines (not just in google).

Thank you for filing this bug.

To implement this we would have to make available all of your searches to each search engine, which would be a privacy change that I'm pretty sure we would not like to make.
