User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0 When I start typing, the dropdown widget displays results correctly as I type except that instead of being attached to the toolbar, it floats in the middle of my screen outside of the parent firefox window. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: just type in the fast search toolbar, sometimes it happens. Actual Results: the dropdown is not attached to the toolbar Expected Results: the dropdown should display beneath the toolbar
Product: Firefox → Toolkit
I am seeing the same problem with Firefox 3.0.7 on Linux. Reproducable: Always (at least on a single monitor setup) Steps to Reproduce: * Move firefox past the right edge of the screen so that at least 1 pixel of search widget is off screen. * Start typing. The dropdown list will apear floating to the left of the Firefox window, as shown in the original poster's screenshot. In my case, the dropdown appears against the left side of the screen, not in the middle, but that may be a resolution issue.
Component: Find Toolbar → Search
Product: Toolkit → Firefox

We'be not had reports of this recently, and this bug hasn't really been touched for the last 10 years, so closing this as works for me.
