I click on Tools -> Options, Display -> Tags, click a tag and Edit. I change the color, and click OK. The menu should have its colors update to reflect the new color scheme.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Tools -> Options, Display -> Tags
2. click a tag and Edit.
3. Change the color, click OK.
Actual Results:
The color of the tags in the menu remain the colors they were.
Expected Results:
The menu should have its colors update to reflect the new color scheme.

Not fixed. Newly installed Thunderbird 45.2.0. Problem occurs on the Tools -> Options, Display -> Tags as the OP described, and on "Manage Tags". Highlighting the tag > Edit, does let you change the text, but selecting a color, then OK, shows the tag text on the edit form in black (occasionally in some apparently random color), rarely in the correct color. Closing and re-opening list rarely, but occasional shows the correct color. Clicking 'Formatting' usually shows the correct color, even though the tag text shows black or occasionally, some arbitrary color. Repeated use of 'Formatting', and failing that, restarting Thunderbird eventually results in the correct color. Extremely time consuming.
Repeatable 90%+ of the time.
