User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080512 Camino/1.6.1 (like Firefox/2.0.0.14)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080512 Camino/1.6.1 (like Firefox/2.0.0.14)

The preference to "Accept cookies only from sites I visit" does not seem to be effective.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Under "Preferences/Privacy", select "Accept cookies only from sites I visit".
2. "Show Cookies ...", "Remove All ..." (to start with a clean slate).
3. Visit some trashy, ad ridden web site. www.dilbert.com works for me.
4. "Show Cookies" again.
Actual Results:
After visiting www.dilbert.com, I see I've also accepted cookies from ".insightexpressai.com".

Expected Results:
I expected to receive cookies only from ".dilbert.com".

Blocking third party cookies with Firefox 3.0 on a Mac seems to work properly.

These are my cookie related prefs from "about:config"

    network.cookie.cookieBehavior 1
    network.cookie.lifetimePolicy 2
    network.cookie.prefsMigrated true

All other "network.cookie.*" prefs are set to "default".
I'm about 99% certain this is a dupe, and I'm 100% certain it isn't unique to Camino (Firefox will exhibit exactly the same issue). This should be kicked to Core if someone can't find the dupe (something about iframes and third-party cookies, I think) in a search.
Whiteboard: DUPEME
Perhaps older versions of Firefox would exhibit this issue. I cannot reproduce the problem Firefox 3.0:

    Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008061004 Firefox/3.0

Same settings, same web sites.
You should try it in a Camino trunk nightly (using Troubleshoot Camino to prevent currently irreversible profile damage, or by moving your profile folder aside prior to running the trunk Camino build).
This WFM on the trunk, and 1.6.1 behaves identically with Firefox 2.0.0.15. This sounds like a dupe of bug 158463 (since the advertisers are using iframes), which dwitte fixed on trunk in bug 421494.

Personally, I would have duped this to 158463 instead, but yeah, that's what I was thinking of.
Status: RESOLVED → VERIFIED
Yes, this seem to be fixed in the latest nightly build (2.0a1pre (1.9pre 2008061223))

Thanks for the quick response, and sorry that my initial search didn't turn up the dup.
