User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080512 Camino/1.6.1 (like Firefox/2.0.0.14)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080512 Camino/1.6.1 (like Firefox/2.0.0.14)
When a window is minimised in Camino sitting in the dock, attempting to open a new window for browsing using either keyboard shortcut or file-new window from the menu bar, the new window appears almost off screen top right in the active picture area and approx 1 inch square in size.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start Camino
2.minimise window
3.attempt to open a new browsing window from menu or keyboard shortcut
Actual Results:
a new browsing window appears compressed in size almost out of active picture area showing only bookmark bar
Expected Results:
Opened a new window the same size and position as the previously minimised one I presume. At least that is what both Firefox and Safari do.
Current config is 1.5Ghz powerpc G4 running OSX10.4.11

This is almost certainly some bad (but perfectly valid) data stored in org.mozilla.camino.plist, located in ~/Library/Preferences/. Try moving that file aside and relaunching Camino. Let us know if the problem persists.

No joy with this method, Chris. As expected, Camino produced a new org.mozilla.camino.plist in the preferences, but has not affected the problem. (The only thing I have noticed is that this file appears only in the User/library/preferences and not in the central HD/library/preferences, whereas the Firefox equivalent appears in both file locations. Not sure if this is relevant or not)
Try moving the .plist file aside again, but then launch Camino using http://pimpmycamino.com/parts/troubleshoot-camino (instead of launching Camino directly).

Yep, the pimpmycamino script worked. New windows open in the same size and place as the previous window as it's supposed to. What do I need to do to get this working with my current profile?

Sorry an answer has been so long in coming. The problem is most likely in prefs.js or user.js. Try quitting Camino, setting these two files aside, and relaunching it.
If that fixes the problem, I'd like to see those two files (add them as attachments here).

Have you narrowed it down to the prefs files? If so, could you attach them?
Can you please respond to comment 6?
