I have "load remote content in email" disabled, so the warning bar is displayed instead. (Sure would be nice if this warning could be turned off.) Whenever an affected email is selected, the header first displays normally, then the warning bar pops into place. (You might not see this happen on a fast system, but this is a lowly P3-550.) I think that is the point that generates the bug:

When I tried to select more than one such email so I could delete them en mass, I found that it was impossible. The first one selects fine, but when I hold down CTRL and click another email in the usual way to select multiple items, the selection cursor pops to the second email and the first one becomes unselected. Simultaneously, the warning bar pops into view.

It only seems to happen while viewing the list of items in the INBOX. It doesn't happen while viewing the same emails when listed in the TRASH folder. Also, it doesn't happen unless both emails want to display the warning bar. And it may be content-specific, since I found that not 100% are affected. The ones I was having the problem with (reproduceable) were subscribed emails from Feedblitz.

Also, when multiple selection DOES work, it is VERY SLOW, since it seems to wait for the Warning Bar to manifest before it will allow the selection.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select email with warning bar
2. Hold down CTRL and try to select another message with the same warning
3. First email becomes unselected when the 2nd's warning bar pops into place
Actual Results:
See above

Expected Results:
Multiple selections stick so I can mass-operate on them. Having to do one at a time gets real tedious if you get a lot of such emails.

Multiple selections should "stick" in the normal, expected way, rather than being affected by the remote content warning bar popping into view above the header. Also, warning bar should not be triggered by operations in mail LIST window.

(And can we *please* get an option to turn that blasted thing OFF? I love some of the other new mail features, but this warning bar is making me crazy! Thanks!)
Version: unspecified → SeaMonkey 1.1 Branch
- Does the bug still happen on current versions (SeaMonkey 2.0.11 or later)?

- Does the bug still happen if you close the preview pane (toggle it open / closed with F8)?
