Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0

firefox 3 works well when I give it voice commands. But when it comes to actually dictating text into the address bar, the search bar, or anywhere else, vista's speech recognition doesn't switch to dictation mode but remains in command mode. I had tried using the "literal" command to override whatever it may be that's preventing me, but that hasn't worked either.

also, I've noticed that firefox closes the entire window when I say "close tab" and it opens up the page info page whenever I say "location" to get the cursor to the address bar. both of these are sort of minor and workarounds can be found by simply closing the page info page everytime I want to go to the address bar or going into the file menu to close an individual tab that way. But I figure more direct methods ought to be available if not already.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.say "search using google"
2.say "mozilla bug firefox"
3.notice how nothing shows up in the search bar field as the speech recognition engine asks "what was that?"
Actual Results:
no text is produced.

Expected Results:
the text I dictated "mozilla bug firefox" should have appeared or at least any sort of text indicating that it registered my words as attempts to dictate text.
