Overview: When viewing a message in a Stand Alone Window, the Go menu should:

1. Remove
a. First Unread Message (due to bug# 16983)
b. First Flagged Message (due to bug# 16979)
c. Back (due to bug# 16975)
d. Forward (due to bug# 16976)

2. Enable
a. Next|Message
b. Next|Unread Message
c. Next|Flagged Message
d. Next|Unread Thread
e. Previous|Message
f. Previous|Unread Message
g. Previous|Flagged Message

timeless - if you implement for standalone window, does that mean the
functionality will work for the 3pane mail window?  I'm asking because some of
these items don't work and as a result, we decided to remove the menu items for
the 3pane mail window.  I can dig those bugs up for you (I think filed by
Fenella).  If you are fixing it everywhere, then we don't need those bugs to
remove certain menu items.

From what i've seen we have a lot of duplicated menu stuff.  It should be 
possible to rewrite the menus to use contentless IDs so that things work 
consistently. Sure cc me on any bugs like this (i'm playing with 99 of these 
bugs right now some of which i hope to close tomorrow, but the more the 
merrier).

The lack of navigation in a standalone message window is reportedly causing at
least some contributors to consider the product unusable. Folks with smaller
screens may want to read messages this way, but the time to open/close a window
for each message is prohibitive.  It seems pointless to have a Go menu that
contains only the item "mail start page", a destination that I'd guess nobody
ever wants to go to, and wasn't even an option in 4.x.

It is a dupe of bug# 76247which is basically a summary bug (it covers Stand 
Alone: all menu items, mnemonic and accelerator issues in the same bug). The 
reason for marking it Invalid is because I don't want to create more noise in 
the summary bug. Please go to bug# 76247 for a recent status.
