User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de-DE; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052912 Firefox/3.0 / Iceweasel Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de-DE; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052912 Firefox/3.0 The greek "Heta" character is not shown in FF3 on Linux (even hidden in URL bar). Applies for your original version from your website (standalone), as well as for the PCLinuxOS package. See http://als.wikipedia.org/wiki/%CD%B0 On Windows XP a replacement character is shown, not so on Linux as it seems; nothing is shown there. Reproducible: Always
I see the replacement character with Firefox 3 on Ubuntu 7.10. What version of pango and gtk are installed?
Component: General → GFX: Thebes
Product: Firefox → Core
QA Contact: general → thebes
Version: unspecified → 1.9.0 Branch
Pango: 1.19.0 Gtk: 2.12.2 (gtk+2.0)
I just tested Firefox 3.0 and 8.0 on my Ubuntu machine here, and heta displays without issue. I suspect this might be a font bug? Please reopen this for further investigation if it's still a problem.
