User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0
Build Identifier: tbird version 2.0.0.14 (20080421)

This showed up in the previous version of Thunderbird as well. If the TRASH is emptied while another folder is selected (ALT+F,Y), then N will go to the next message, even if another folder. But if the TRASH folder is selected when the keyboard empty trash command is given, the TRASH folder empties out and compacts and then deselects, making it impossible to use N for the next message until this or another folder is selected.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. select TRASH folder with messages in it, either version 2.0.0.14 (20080421) or previous version.
2. empty TRASH via keyboard (ALT+F,Y)
3. TRASH folder is deselected
4. Can't use N to go to the next unread message until a folder is selected again.
Actual Results:
see above.

Expected Results:
see above.

TRASH folder should remain selected so that N will take the user to the next unread message.
Confirmed also here but I don't know if this is deliberate.
