See bug 441408 as an example.  We've been seeing this every week or so, especially on fast cycling mac machines.  Seems to be limited to tiger (10.4.2).  Observed behavior: repeated talos failures, looking over processes shows that Terminal is consuming 99% cpu, machine requires a reboot and a restart of the talos slave.  An initial fix was attempted involving running the talos slave through 'nohup' and then closing Terminal - this merely shifted the 99% cpu consumption to Finder (which ends up being the process owner when using nohup).

I'm assuming that this is something having to do with not appropriately reaping processes.

Alice just kicked qm-pmac-fast03 because of this.
No longer seeing this due to Talos boxes being auto rebooted post every test run.
