The statistics pages have both a number for "Average Daily Downloads" and "Average Daily Active Users". Averages over the total lifetime aren't that useful, as all usage trends up.
I suggest simply doing this average over a regular time period, maybe 4 weeks, so as to provide more useful data. This would give an average that indicates the actual state of things, whereas averaging over the total data tells me hardly anything, and in some cases is a meaningless fraction of current numbers.
In any case, the labels should get captions indicating the period for the averages, similar to the other stats here.

The "Average Daily Active Users" value is now a 7 day average instead of a total lifetime average (see bug 663261). We now have two lines with slightly different weekly averages, but this can be dealt with in the new stats page when that eventually gets done.
No more total lifetime average -> WFM
