User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0 The location bar always shows only the last URL that was typed in. When you click on a tab to change focus, the location bar does not reflect the URL of the tab with focus. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open sites in several tabs. 2. Type in a URL. 3. Click on a different tab. Actual Results: The typed in URL continues to show even though you have moved focus away from that tab. Expected Results: Location bar would show the URL of the clicked-upon tab.
Please run Firefox in the Firefox safemode: - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode The safemode is just Firefox without addons and third-party themes. If it works in the safemode (i expect that) then disable the addon one by one to find the addon which caused this.

I confirm this. Steps to reproduce: 1) type "google.com", enter in the first tab 2) open a new tab (which also doesn't clear the location bar as it did before) 3) type "bbc.co.uk" (after deleting "google.com") in location bar, enter. Switching back to the first tab leaves "bbc.co.uk" intact. If you want any more information tell me how to get it and I'll get it for you. Guy: Your comment is useless without telling us if you really did your tests in the safemode (see comment#1)
Oops, I deleted that confirmation. So: Step 0) Start firefox in safe mode (firefox -safe-mode in linux) Now what?
I thought I should also mention that when one tab is loading something, ALL tabs show the "loading" icon, i.e. the spinning animation. I believe it's related to this bug somehow, so I'm not opening a new one. Please tell me if I should though.
