User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008061004 Firefox/3.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008061004 Firefox/3.0 The Command-T shortcut does not work after switching from Firefox to another application and back unless a UI element (e.g. tab bar, location bar, rendering area) is clicked on to give focus. See details below. This is a regression from Firefox 2. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Firefox 3. 2. Click on the desktop to switch application focus to Finder. 3. Click on any part of the Firefox window to switch application focus to Firefox. 4. Press Command-T. The "File" menu will flash (indicating shortcut activation), but no new tab will open. 5. Click on any Firefox UI element. 6. Press Command-T. A new tab will open. Actual Results: Command-T does not open new tabs after application context switch. Expected Results: Command-T should work as expected. This is incredibly annoying, but unfortunately I can't justify a severity higher than Normal.
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008061004 Firefox/3.0 WFM. Can you please try this in safe-mode? This might be an extension causing a ruckus.
Worked fine in safe mode, but even more annoyingly, it's now working properly in normal operation, even though I had observed this multiple times over the past week. I guess something I do in my normal routine is putting Firefox into this funky state (perhaps with the help of an extension or plug-in). I'm going to close this ticket; I'll reopen if I can find a way to reliably reproduce. Sorry for the trouble.
