When a table that contains a large amount of text is rendered, the background colour spills past the end of the table. It is possible that this only happens when the text in the table is contained within <pre></pre> tags, as when those tags were removed from the example, the table was drawn correctly (see http: //qlink.queensu.ca/~7elm/mo-bugs/tables-2.html ). However, this may only be because the number of lines of text is drastically reduced by the removal of the <pre></pre> tags, as a third example with the <pre></pre> left in, but the amount of text reduced, is also drawn correctly (http: //qlink.queensu.ca/~7elm/mo-bugs/tables-small.html ).
lukem@bioinfo.pbi.nrc.ca could you come back with a build ID. Second could you please create a testcase, without references to the PNG images. I tried now for the 5th time to view the testcase, all time the connection timed out (I am on ADSL connection so I would blame your server) The best way would be to attach a single html file as testcase (that's also the usual way to do it.)
The height of the cell is miscalculated so the border leaves some white space below the cell. This testcase renders fine with Nav4.6 and shows the same error with IE4. Changing summary. Confirming bug.
