User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008061004 Firefox/3.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008061004 Firefox/3.0

Whenever I close Firefox, every website I am logged into (and is told to remember my session) logs me out. This includes both HTTPS and HTTP sessions. I have enabled the HTTPS session saving in the about:config, but the problem still occurs. It worked perfectly in Firefox 2, and has only shown up since 3.0.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Log into a website
2.Close Firefox
3.Open Firefox, and visit website
Actual Results:
My session has ended

Expected Results:
My session should be saved, and I should stay logged into the website.

This has only started happening with the new release of Firefox. I have tried clearing all my caches, and everything short of removing my entire profile.
Can you please make sure that 'Always clear my private data when I close Firefox' is unchecked? It is under Tools > Options > Privacy. Also make sure that 'Ask me before clearing private data' IS checked.
Those settings are as they should be. 'Always clear my private data when I close Firefox' is unchecked, and 'Ask me before clearing private data' is checked.

Hans: As I understand it, you're only loosing session cookies but not the URLs themselves so that you get to see a bunch of log-in pages when you restore the session. Is this correct?

If so, please tell us what value the hidden pref browser.sessionstore.privacy_level has and what website doesn't properly work.

It would also help, if you could attach the file sessionstore.js from Firefox' profile to this bug (copy it out while Firefox is shut down and when Firefox should correctly resume a session when you (re)start it - also, please open it in a text editor first and make sure it doesn't contain privacy sensitive data).
Simon: That's correct. The setting, as requested, is 0. Any website that requires a login is broken... Gmail, forums, anything. Now, fortunately, this issue seems to have been (somewhat mysteriously) resolved with the 3.0.1 patch. I can no longer duplicate the results.

So, this bug is WORKSFORME, then.
