When accidentaly opening firefox in Safe ModeFF is started in safe mode if you launch from Finder with option key pressed. It can happen accidentally, if the Alt key was pressed to make the current Finder window close, and you hold it for too long. Before FF actually launches you get the dialog that asks if you want to start in safe mode or quit (and other details) If you choose 'quit' you loose the previous session.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Quit and save session
2. Start launching FF in safe mode, (e.g. from Finder with option/alt key pressed)
3. Choose quit. (I don't like it safe)
4. Launch FF, the normal way.

Actual Results:  
My session is gone.

Expected Results:  
My session (from before the cancelled launching in safe mode) should be restored.


As an aside I feel the Safe mode dialog should provide the option to start in normal mode. Also, the optional launch should be delayed a little longer, like iTunes, beacause now its too easy to do by accident (easy fix that would make this bug less severe)

This WORKSFORME under Windows. Could be Mac specific, though.

It's always reproducible, including on a fresh (OS X 10.4) user account.
I'm not able to test under other OS's.

So, this bug indeed exists when Firefox isn't set to always restore the previous session. It's even already been reported before...
