The addressbar and statusbar fonts, and the scrollbars, appear "normal" (i guess theyre using the OS for that).
"Everything else" looks like they're at 200%.
"Small icons" in on the toolbar's are huge (using default 3.0 theme).
The page's contents are scaled up (probably at 200%)

Note I am using 2.x to file this bug, while the problem is with 3.0.

Try running your Firefox 3 in safe mode:

I started in safe mode ... (disabled all addons)
I should also mention that even in the "what to disable, reset" safe mode dialogue ... everything (icon, spacing between lines) is large too. (see image)
