Program crashes indiscriminately without rhyme or reason or anything that would serve as a precursor to the crash.

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0 After each 'crash' your message window would appear requesting information as to the cause. I completed this section several times, but due to the number of crashes and their duplicity I begin to simply send the notices with blank spaces. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Load the FireFox Browser and begin using it. 2. 3. Actual Results: There is no way for me to report any actual facts as there is no warning prior to the crash. Varies in terms of time before crash or nature of operation during crash. Expected Results: What? Starting the browser for general use? I begin using, such as now, and after a period of use program would crash. What should the software have done instead (of crashing)?? Operated as promised and in same manner as previous versions - without indiscriminate crashes. Best of luck in locating the problem as I really favor Fire Fox for browsing. For now I will just keep 'firing it up' after each crash and continue using, but...
Please post actual information. Go to about:crashes and post crash IDs. If it didn't catch the crash, then consider disabling the Flash plugin via the add-ons manager for a while. (bug 422308) If it doesn't crash afterwards, well then I guess we know what's crashing. In any case, I suggest posting your Flash version here and updating if you have less than 9.0 r124. Try Firefox safe mode: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode or possibly a new profile: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing+Profiles If it doesn't crash in safe mode then it's caused by an extension. Disable them one at a time until you find the culprit. If it still crashes there, it may be a plugin's fault. Again, try disabling them one at a time until you find a crasher. If you find an add-on that crashes, then please reply back here with its name and version.
http://developer.mozilla.org/En/How_to_get_a_stacktrace_for_a_bug_report If you still get Firefox crashes with the current version then please post some information on the crashes. A stack trace or crash report or some steps to reproduce are required for anyone to attempt to investigate. I would gladly try to help here, but without any additional info there's not much anyone can do. Closing as INCOMPLETE until new info is posted.

September 30, 2008 Re:Bug 442599 My name is Leroy Williams and I would like to say Thanks for effort to address my problem report. Since then I have installed the updated version of FireFox and there have been no recurring 'crashes' or problems. The only 'complaint' that I would have is that some of my favorite add-ons (like Print Review) do not initially work with the newer versions of Firefox. I have now purchased another PC with a 64 bit system and find that the installed version of Firefox continues to operate well, without problems. Sincerely, Leroy Williams charismalxw@gmail.com

Ah, good then. Thanks for replying. Complaints about add-ons not supporting Firefox 3 are fairly standard, and you'll have to contact the authors of the add-ons in question to request them to support the new browser. They'll simply have to update their add-on and add support. Nothing we can do about that. If your problem has been resolved, then the correct resolution would be WORKSFORME. FIXED is for when a change to the software done by Mozilla fixes a specific bug for everyone, not when a user resolves a problem on their end. Glad everything is working now.
