Currently tested translations of Firefox 3, Thunderbird 2 and Sunbird/Lightning 0.5 are available. This bug is being submitted by the localization owner, following instructions of CVS_write_access section of the L10n:Becoming_an_Official_Localization page at http://wiki.mozilla.org/, as appointed by Axel at Comment #79 on 368055 bug. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Download the CVS tree 2. Translate what translatable is 3. Check the translation with compare-locales 4. Upload zipped translation 5. Need a voucher, an SSH key attached to the bug, and the Committer's Agreement filled out - http://www.mozilla.org/hacking/committer/committers-agreement.pdf.

Vouching based on my review in bug 368055. You can find details on generating ssh keys on http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Using_SSH_to_connect_to_CVS#Generating_an_SSH_key.

Committer's Agreement filled and signed, sent by Fax to the number specified at hacking/notification. It is night here at Europe: I'll send the original paper by urgent courier tomorrow morning.
Comment 5•16 years ago
|

Urgent courier won't be needed, the "urgent" piece is dealt with by the FAX. The actual paper can go via snail mail now. Or airmail, we don't really suggest to drown snails in the atlantic.

:-) Ok, then I'll airmail it, Danke!

Committer's Agreement received via fax. Axel - Is this request ready to go based on comment 2?

And yes, this one is ready to go.

Your CVS account has been created. Your CVSROOT should be: suso.baleato%xunta.es@cvs.mozilla.org:/l10n Don't forget to set your CVS_RSH environment variable to 'ssh'. If you have any problems connecting, let me know.

(In reply to comment #10) > Your CVS account has been created. Your CVSROOT should be: > > suso.baleato%xunta.es@cvs.mozilla.org:/l10n > > Don't forget to set your CVS_RSH environment variable to 'ssh'. > > If you have any problems connecting, let me know. > Hi Aravind, First I exported that vars: export CVSROOT=":ext:suso.baleato%xunta.es@cvs.mozilla.org:/l10n" export CVS_RSH="/usr/bin/ssh" Then I tried a checkout (co mozilla/browser/config/mozconfig) and that's the error I receive after accepting the RSA host key: Permission denied (publickey,gssapi-with-mic) cvs [checkout aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any) I tried -x, -a, --enable-encryption... but no positive results. And I use that id_dsa.pub key to enter other servers. After some googling I only found info about Mercurial... so now I'm a bit confused. Which way to follow? This is the -t output: cvs -x -t co mozilla/browser/config/mozconfig -> main: Session ID is gTdcSxnlbu45Bx9t -> main loop with CVSROOT=/l10n -> safe_location( where=(null) ) -> open_connection_to_server (:ext:suso.baleato%xunta.es@cvs.mozilla.org:/l10n) -> Starting server: /usr/bin/ssh -l suso.baleato%xunta.es cvs.mozilla.org cvs server Permission denied (publickey,gssapi-with-mic). cvs [checkout aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any)

That's intended, you only have CVS write access to the l10n repository. Please continue to use anonymous cvs over :pserver:anonymous@cvs-mirror.mozilla.org:/cvsroot for en-US and main mozilla code, and just use your account to access your localization files. If you're using a .mozconfig, add mk_add_options LOCALES_CVSROOT=suso.baleato%xunta.es@cvs.mozilla.org:/l10n to it. Hth

Axel, I'm having the same problem when trying to commit. This is the sequence I follow: 1. Download current localization files: cvs -z9 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs-mirror.mozilla.org:/l10n co l10n/gl 2. Modifying som .properties in downloaded tree 3. Trying to commit changes to the main tree cvs -t -d:server:suso.baleato%xunta.es@cvs.mozilla.org:/l10n ci l10n/gl The result committing is similar: (...) cvs commit: Examining l10n/gl/toolkit/installer cvs commit: Examining l10n/gl/toolkit/installer/windows -> open_connection_to_server (suso.baleato%xunta.es@cvs.mozilla.org:/l10n) -> Starting server: rsh -l suso.baleato%xunta.es cvs.mozilla.org cvs server Permission denied (publickey,gssapi-with-mic). cvs [commit aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any) A significative behaviour is: when I try to commit to cvs-mirror.mozilla.org instead of cvs.mozilla.org, then cvs asks me first for a log before falling down by no write permissions there. That log does not appears when trying to commit to cvs.mozilla.org. As it seems to be a problem in the authetication stage, I decided to execute a verbose authentication with: ssh -v -l suso.baleato@xunta.es cvs.mozilla.org ls The result is this: OpenSSH_4.6p1 Debian-5ubuntu0.1, OpenSSL 0.9.8e 23 Feb 2007 debug1: Reading configuration data /etc/ssh/ssh_config debug1: Applying options for * debug1: Connecting to cvs.mozilla.org [63.245.208.155] port 22. debug1: Connection established. debug1: identity file /home/suso/.ssh/identity type -1 debug1: identity file /home/suso/.ssh/id_rsa type 1 debug1: identity file /home/suso/.ssh/id_dsa type 2 debug1: Remote protocol version 2.0, remote software version OpenSSH_3.9p1 debug1: match: OpenSSH_3.9p1 pat OpenSSH_3.* debug1: Enabling compatibility mode for protocol 2.0 debug1: Local version string SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_4.6p1 Debian-5ubuntu0.1 debug1: SSH2_MSG_KEXINIT sent debug1: SSH2_MSG_KEXINIT received debug1: kex: server->client aes128-cbc hmac-md5 none debug1: kex: client->server aes128-cbc hmac-md5 none debug1: SSH2_MSG_KEX_DH_GEX_REQUEST(1024<1024<8192) sent debug1: expecting SSH2_MSG_KEX_DH_GEX_GROUP debug1: SSH2_MSG_KEX_DH_GEX_INIT sent debug1: expecting SSH2_MSG_KEX_DH_GEX_REPLY debug1: Host 'cvs.mozilla.org' is known and matches the RSA host key. debug1: Found key in /home/suso/.ssh/known_hosts:67 debug1: ssh_rsa_verify: signature correct debug1: SSH2_MSG_NEWKEYS sent debug1: expecting SSH2_MSG_NEWKEYS debug1: SSH2_MSG_NEWKEYS received debug1: SSH2_MSG_SERVICE_REQUEST sent debug1: SSH2_MSG_SERVICE_ACCEPT received debug1: Authentications that can continue: publickey,gssapi-with-mic debug1: Next authentication method: gssapi-with-mic debug1: Unspecified GSS failure. Thanks Axel. This is the command: export CVS_RSH="ssh" ; export CVSROOT=":ext:suso.baleato%xunta.es@cvs.mozilla.org:/l10n" ; cvs -t -d suso.baleato%xunta.es@cvs.mozilla.org:/l10n ci l10n/gl And this is the result: (...) cvs commit: Examining l10n/gl/toolkit/installer/windows -> open_connection_to_server (suso.baleato%xunta.es@cvs.mozilla.org:/l10n) -> Starting server: ssh -l suso.baleato%xunta.es cvs.mozilla.org cvs server Permission denied (publickey,gssapi-with-mic). cvs [commit aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any) It seems to be an authentication layer problem, but I'm not sure of that. Thanks, :wq!

Reed has found that there is no ssh-key for Suso's l10n account serverside. As Aravind is on vacation, I'm putting this back into the server-ops pool for triage. Boosting up the priority, we have about a week 'til Firefox 3.0.2 code freeze, and no access for the localization team.

Due Debian alert DSA-1576-1 (openssh) this key *must* be deleted.

I might sugest adding a couple of explanatory lines about this at: http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Using_SSH_to_connect_to_CVS#Generating_an_SSH_key Before: "Do file a Server Operations bug in Bugzilla and attach your id_dsa.pub to the bug." Something like this could be enough: -- In case you are submitting an existing key (not newly generated), specially if you are running a Debian based system, please double-check the integrity of your key using some utility like ssh-vulnkey. --
