User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0 FF3.0 error message: Linkification not compatible with fire fox 3.0. In Fire Fox 2.14 it worked. It was the ONLY way I could type live, clickable (blue) links in Hotmail and Yahoo E-mail. PLEASE MAKE LINKIFICATION COMPATIBLE WITH FF3.0. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.I tried sending multiple e-mail with Hotmail and Yahoo e-mail, but the links I type are dead, unclickable and do not turn blue 2. 3. Actual Results: .I tried sending multiple e-mail with Hotmail and Yahoo e-mail, but the links I type are dead, unclickable and do not turn blue Expected Results: the links I type, do not turn blue and are unclickable, e.g. www.google.com Linkification SHOULD have been made compatible with FF3.0, but it is not. If there is another add-on or extention, please advise. I have reported the problem to Hotmail (Microsoft). Of course they blame it on Fire Fox. However when I use IE7.0, every link I type in Hotmail or Yahoo e-mail is LIVE, BLUE and clickable.
If you want Linkification to be compatible with Firefox 3, you'll have to request that from the developers of Linkification. It's an extension; it's not a Mozilla product, and most certainly not a Microsoft product. There is a beta with a 3.0.* bump available on their website: http://yellow5.us/firefox/linkification

Oh, and I should point out, that if you were thinking this created links in emails, it doesn't. It makes URLs on your end into clickable links for you. If the end recipient of the email doesn't have Linkification (or an email client that does this same thing) then it's just text to them.
Linkification 1.3.5 is now on AMO and supports Firefox 3.0.*. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/190
