We're moving this one to staging-master and it needs to be in b.m.o
If possible, please rename it bm-stage-osx-01
Let me know when you want it shut down.

Boo. Didn't have vlan71 on the trunk so I don't think this box got an IP when it booted back up. Probably needs a physical visit to do a dhcp renew (unless it ends up doing so on its own).

Rebooted, but it is still not picking up an IP. It is plugged into ASX105-03/12.

I am a PITA, I know...but I broke it again.
It was only letting me log in as buildbot user and I need to access it as cltbld - can someone check that vnc is enabled for cltbld? It might be only ssh access right now because I can log in as cltbld via ssh but cannot open vnc.
Thanks, and appologies for the back and forth on this.

Thank you. Turns out that on Macs there is a password for VNC access that is
not related to the username/password. So it was still using the buildbot
user's password - I have changed it now to be the cltbld password. Just need
DNS updated on this when you have a chance. It currently says the old machine
name "qm-stage-osx-01" instead of "bm-stage-osx-01".

The hostname on the box can be reset with:
sudo scutil --set HostName bm-stage-osx-01 .

when I connect to this with a vnc client - the name of the connection window is still set to "qm-stage-osx-01" instead of "bm-stage-osx-01" . I can't see how to change this, is it a DNS thing?

You can change that in System Prefs | Sharing and/or on the command line with 'scutil --set HostName <new hostname>' .

i did set the host name, as i believe Phong did too...and within the box it reflects that change. it's the name of the vnc connection when i am connecting with chicken of the vnc - which in the past has meant that the dns wasn't updated

Not sure where it'd be getting the other hostname -
mrz@boris [~/] 3> host qm-stage-osx-01
qm-stage-osx-01.mozilla.org has address 10.2.73.62
mrz@boris [~/] 4> host 10.2.73.62
62.73.2.10.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer qm-stage-osx-01.mozilla.org.

For completeness,
mrz@boris [~/work/rancid/] 8> host bm-stage-osx-01.build
bm-stage-osx-01.build.mozilla.org has address 10.2.71.147
mrz@boris [~/work/rancid/] 9> host 10.2.71.147
147.71.2.10.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer bm-stage-osx-01.build.mozilla.org.
