(Whiteboard: [CLOSEME 2010-11-01])
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0
Some pages display correctly, but some pages display "" instead of the Swedish vowels with diacritics - even in the FF window title bar. This occurs in Firefox 3 on both OS X and Windows.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load up a page, for example, www.netonnet.se, and look at it.
Actual Results:
Some characters are shown as "" instead of ä, ö, and å.
Expected Results:
Some characters shown correctly as "ä", "ö", and "å".
Seems to be OS-independent Firefox-specific problem (using standard FF installation). Doesn't happen for the same pages in Windows/IE or OS X/Safari.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0
Everything looks fine on this page for me. Have you tried:
- Firefox's safe-mode to exclude extension/theme problems
- a new profile
- a reinstall in a new empty folder?

Yes - same issue.

Yes - same issue.
> - a reinstall in a new empty folder?
No, but it is the same on one Windows XP PC and two Apple iBooks (OS X 10.4), so it's not related to a particular installation. I don't have any additional themes installed, and only the Foxmarks extension.
Might it be the en-GB instead of en-US? That's the only difference in our installations.

I tried the pre version downloaded here http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla1.9.0-l10n/ with a newly created profile
and then I see this page: http://img376.imageshack.us/img376/5390/netonnetkn8.png
