User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.15) Gecko/20080623 Firefox/2.0.0.15
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.15) Gecko/20080623 Firefox/2.0.0.15
With Windows XP Pro 5.1.2600 Service pack 2 Build 2600:
After upgrading from Firefox 2.0.0.14 to 2.0.0.15
the installer requests to quit Firefox and restart.
Upon a restart, it could not connect to www.google.com
nor any other webpage (including mozilla.org)
Attempting to "upgrade" again resulted in a message
"could not connect to AUS"
I had to use ie7 to get to the mozilla website to find a solution.
No comment/solution was found.
I decided to download "Firefox Setup 2.0.0.15.exe".
Before attempting to uninstall and reinstall Firefox,
I decided to reboot.
Apparently rebooting did the trick.
The upgraded Firefox could connect to the network.
I think a clear reference to having to reboot
should be on the website.
Other Firefox "upgrades" did not run into this problem
QED
Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Upgrade from Firefox 2.0.0.14 to 2.0.0.15 on WinXP 5.1.2600 SP2
2.Auto Quit/Restart by Firefox installer
3.Click on "Yes" to restart.
Actual Results:
No connection to the network, no website can be loaded
Expected Results:
Connection with the home page "www.google.com"
and the temporary mozilla.org page on new release info.
1) Revert back to version 2.0.0.14
OR
2) Display message, reboot may be necessary

There is no reboot necessary but it's possible that your firewall had a problem with the updated firefox.exe and that it needs a reboot.
If Firefox doesn't connect to any pages after an upgrade it's up to 99% a firewall issue.
I just upgraded old my testversion and it worked fine without rebooting, marking worksforme
