I often can't mark the text to do something with it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Mark a text
2. You may must try this repeatedly
Actual Results:  
Marking is 

Expected Results:  
Marking is kept.

I can confirm this on:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de-DE; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008062517 Firefox/3.0
and Mozilla Thunderbird 2.0.0.14 (20080505) Linux i686 de-DE

You're trying to select text (e.g. in order to copy it), right?  What method are you using -- dragging from the beginning of a word to the end?  What exactly is happening -- is text becoming selected and then deselected, or does nothing seem to happen at all?

Does this problem occur on this page, https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=443647 ?  Or does it only occur on certain pages?

Yes.
What method are you using -- dragging from the beginning of a word to the end?
Yes. (Dragging the mouse, not the word)
What exactly is happening -- is text becoming selected and then deselected, or does nothing seem to happen at all?
text becoming selected and then deselected

I seems to occur everywhere, but it's seems to occur random. After selection I don't click again, really.

I see now: The problem occurs on other applications, too. So the bug is probably in another software.
