I wrote a short example page here: http://yurukov.net/share/ff_bug.html
WFM with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0 Can you reliably reproduce this? Long tooltips are supposed to wrap to multiple lines in Firefox 3, but the tooltip in your example isn't that long should not be triggering that many wraps.

It has been happening ever since I got the FF 3.0. Each time the tooltip breaks after each word. Something just came to me. It may not be relevant, but when I installed 3.0, I didn't uninstall 2.0. I think the installer deleted the old version. Yet it may be that some lib from the old one is still in use. However in the 2.0 version the tooltip was ok.

WFM also. It may be something in your profile, or with an extension. http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic+Troubleshooting is a good starting place to try to solve your issue. If that doesn't help, you can ask a question through the support page (http://support.mozilla.com), and the volunteers there will help you to find an answer, or to get the information we need to turn this report into a useful, reproducible bug report that has a chance of being fixed.

Ok, you were right, I turned off my add-ons one by one and it turned out that Firebug was causing the problem. I am using version 1.2.0b4. I will forward the bug to them.
