Firefox 3 bug demo: page http://uuroanoke.org/firefox3demo/ uses frames. It calls on a menu frame and a content frame page, frame1.htm which works perfectly by itself, but which does not work as a framed page in Firefox 3. To see this, click on the links on this page. These links works correctly in Firefox 2, IE 7, and Opera 8.54.

Notice that the first five links all seem to work, but the last links doesn't. The file for case 5 is identical to the file for case 6. Only the path to the contents is different.

Please try this again, looking at only this page without being in a frameset. It will work.

Thanks for looking at this. JDH.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. see http://uuroanoke.org/firefox3demo/
2.
3.
Actual Results:
When last link is clicked, frame is not loaded with target.

Expected Results:
Content frame appears blank until F5 is pressed.

Display the frame just as if displaying
http://uuroanoke.org/firefox3demo/frame1.htm

Just found that somehow this bug was associated with my profile. I created a new Firefox profile using "Firefox -p" and then displayed the same webpage. This time, no problem. When I go back to my original profile, the problem returns.

I assumed for a while that this was associated with one of the add-in I have been using, but I have added the same add-ins to the new profile, yet the problem does not return to the new profile.

Any idea how the original profile became corrupt?

This all implies that it may be very difficult for anyone else to confirm this bug.
