quote davidascher "Right now the ideas that are popular show up at the top, even if I've already expressed an opinion. It should be easier to look at unrated ideas than ideas I've already voted on." good point. also includes implemented ideas. an already implemented idea shouldn't be at the top of the front page, as i think we want users to see new ideas when they first visit the site. if they want to track ideas, we can have lists for ideas they've voted on, and there is already a list for browsing ideas by status (e.g. "status - implemented") i'm pretty sure this will mean ditching the Drupal Views module for writing SQL queries, which I've been thinking about, and that should be a good thing in the future (for performance, flexbility, etc) so wrapping that in this bug. this also brings to mind something, we can select both a "browse by..." and a "category" at the same time, and would be useful. maybe instead of having the browse by list, we can have a set of options, that can turn on and off things like "view ideas i've already voted on" and "only ideas with status = implemented" that might be a good way to solve this
simple idea browsing options in r17438 includes option to (not)show ideas already voted on, which can be set as the default (don't show) to clear up the issue mentioned by david show by status, mentioned above, is included also
