As bug title. The two functions are completely different, and the fact they have the same name is highly confusing. I propose to rename it "Reorder by Name", as proposed in related Seamonkey Bug 244519. See also Bug 444429.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv

Looking into this problem. What the exact purpose of having "Sort by Name" in context menu of bookmark folders? On FX 10, clicking"Sort by name" may change the order of bookmark folders and also bookmarks in the selected folder. If the purpose of "Sort by Name" is just for sorting the folders, then it should not affect the order of bookmarks.
