If there is a hypertext web/file link in an email, document, help file etc and you click it while FF is not running, then FF will launch but stall indefinitely at ~12.5 MB. If you use Task Manager to kill FF, then start FF manually the link will usually be opened in a tab when FF starts, but if not then clicking on the link will open it fine.

FF does not start. 
A check of Task Manager shows FF stalled indefinitely at 12.5MB

I am unsure I understand.  If I receive an email with a link that will send me to a browser address, and I click on that link, it does not open the browser and obviously the link address.  Is this a bug or a configuration problem?  I use Kubuntu 8.04 and current Firefox 2.0.0.16 and Thunderbird 2.0.0.16 (20080724).  I am newbie, obviously.  Thanks! Steven

I have similar problem, but FF is running, FF will link if link is shown as link; some links sent in same email do not show as links, they will fail; I can retrieve same email with my comcast email and all links show as links and work fine
