User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; de; rv:1.8.1.15) Gecko/20080623 Firefox/2.0.0.15
Build Identifier: thunderbird 2.0.0.14

I wrote an application, that email files as uuencoded-email-attachments by unix or dos mail-programs. Thunderbird shows uuencode-hieroglyphes instead of auto-decode it as an attachment, when main-content of email is absolut empty.
The problem affects actual and older versions of Thunderbird.

I had a workaround by inserting at least a space/newline in mailtext but now the error reappears, if the mail was checked by antivirus/spam-software like avast!,
that insert quellcode-only visible comments in email.

The problem seems to be in Thunderbird, because no Microsoft-Mail-Client has
this problem.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
email a file from dos/unix-mailprogram using uuencode

Actual Results:
begin 644 file.txt
(many hieroglypes)

Expected Results:
show file.txt as an attachment
Can you post as an attachment the actual .eml of a message (with sensitive headers or content sanitized, if possible)?

Sounds like a libmime problem to me.
