User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10_5_3; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Safari/525.20 Build Identifier: BSU's Fix My Home page, which runs off of a web app by "The Maintenance Authority" has recently been upadated and the site blocks all non-IE browsers, for no apparent reason. The site even blocks non-MS browsers and OSes, when spoofing UA as MSIE6/Win. All Gecko based browsers (and all Apple WebKit based browsers) on Mac OS X are unable to access this site. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual Results: Automatically re-directed to a page displaying blocker message, saying the site can only be viewed with MSIE (presumably PCs).
Confirming. Eric told me over IM that the folks who write the web app that BSU uses are supposedly testing with Firefox. Eric, have you made any more progress figuring out who the developer of that web app is? It appears the Fix My Home site is only available to BSU IPs.
I believe that it was made by TMA Systems (http://www.tmasys.com/), at least that's what the prior version was and it still works the same way. I actually found the company through Apple's product guide: http://guide.apple.com/action.lasso?-database=macosguide&-layout=cgi_detail&-response=/ussearch/detail.html&prodkey=11846&-search It could be something different now, but everyone who has been there for awhile before the marketing people got to it call it "TMA" instead of "Fix My Home".
Oh, one more thing that would be useful: can you capture the source of the page that's doing the redirecting and then upload that here as an attachment? If we can see the blocking code, someone might be able to figure out a workaround, at least, and we'll be able to tell BSU what they need to change in order for this not to be a problem.

I'm guessing this is just some housekeeping to close old tickets, but I got a notice (actually Comment #4) about this bug long after I forgot about it (and wasn't working there anymore). Nice to see the response was handled long after the original URL died.
Ah thanks for the notice, Eric. Let's change the status then.
