Build Identifier: version 2.0.0.14 (20080421)

See reproducability section below for description of enhancement.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to View/Toolbars/Customize
2.
3.
Actual Results:
Customize Toolbar dialog box is displayed.

Expected Results:
Add an item the Customize Toolbar dialog box, like "Add file to folder icon" with a drop down menu that would display all folders, user selects one or more folders.

Item above takes you to a new dialog box, which provides a way for a user to select or build an icon. See programs such as Object Dock, which allows you to add icons to the docking bar to start any program, etc. This is the most difficult part of the enhancement, but hopefully you could find previous work to build on.

After icon is slected, it is placed in dialog box, than user can drag the icon to where he wants it in a similar manner to the dialog box that invoked this new dialog box.

When the icon placed in the toolbar is invoked, it moves the current selected message(s) to the folder specified in previous step in a similar fashion as the "junk" icon would move the message(s) to the junk folder. This is a shortcut icon.

> folders/ provides this

... and you can put customized icons on each button. They are also shown in the folder tree. It is built for minimal space with the buttons looking like "mini-tabs" but it is in its own toolbar. The tabs wrap around so you can have multiple rows if necessary and there is an optional category dropdown for filtering / grouping. There is also "nostalgy-style" moving / copying / jumping and a persistent "reading list" for bookmarking emails.
here is an example - each favorite can have a custom color / custom icon if necessary and many visual aspects of the tabs can be modified. It supports full drag and drop from folder tree and message pane so it is very easy to use.
Summary: Add customizable icon(s) to "file to" your favorite folder (like junk) → Add customizable icon(s) to "file to" messages to your favorite folder
Severity: normal → S3
