update search engine url is not possible on click "manage search engines". there is the not-at-all user friendly path via extensions, right click, ... and for the pre-built-in there is no way at all to update it.

this then leads to beeing all users redirected to a german google beacause ubuntu is installed de. and no way to reconfigure going to english google.

Their operating system is in comment 0, and I think the request is clear enough. 

I don't think we're going to address this use case, though, since few people actually want to edit search engines, and it's not that hard to do manually if you're familiar enough with custom search plugins. The Google redirect not being correct is a Google bug that's covered in other bug reports, I think.
