I have automatic updates activated. A few days ago when I started Mozilla Firefox I got a message about completed updating and I recognized a new bookmark called "\bjorn" in the bookmarkbar. If i open the bookmark I end up at http://www.bjorn.se/ who is a IT-consultant in Sweden.
I have newer seen this page before and I have not added the bookmark. It cannot been my girlfriend because she does not use my account and she uses IE.
I´m quit worried about this because I don´t like the thought about someone writing updates for Mozilla and in the same time spreading commercials, if that is the case... Maybe it is some kind of virus, i don´t know. But i think you might want to know about it.
I have tried installation of Firefox on my girlfriends computer but it does not show up there.
Best Regards/ Tor, Sweden

Not a security bug. over to general as well.
We certainly aren't spreading commercials of this type in updates.
I couldn't find any instance of bjorn in the source for Firefox 2 l10n except in the dictionaries.
I installed Firefox 2.0.0.15 Se and updated to 2.0.0.16 and did not see the bjorn link. I can only think either you accidentally created it and didn't notice until after the update or an extension added it.
Do you happen to have a folder on your pc named \bjorn by any chance?

I absolutely do not blame the Mozilla org. But i thought that external people might bee involved in developing the program and that one of them might have broken the given trust.
I do not have a folder named \bjorn
I did not use my computer for two days and then the bookmark was suddenly there.
I checked the bookmark backup and it was not there when I turned the of computer.
It is not only a empty bookmark, it leads to a web page i have never visited so it cannot only be a "copy and past" mistake...
Tanks for your time/ Tor

I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile.
