Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070208 Firefox/3.0.1 Creative ZENcast v2.01.01
When I start FF3.01 either initially after boot-up or after quitting and waiting a while, the applicaton starts up quickly enough but then immediately takes up some CPU time - sometimes as much as 80%, other times as little as 5%. This lasts for about 10-15 seconds. Whilst this is happening, FF becomes very unresponsive - can't even drag the window let alone browse.
After this 10-15 seconds, the browser works normally.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot up.
2. Start FF3.
3. Try to browse.
Actual Results:
Browser is unresponsive for a period of time (10-15 seconds).
Expected Results:
The browser, having loaded, should be responsive immediately.
I've tried a full uninstall/ reinstall (even removing the profile) but no luck in fixing this. I've also tried disabling/ enabled various extensions but can't see any pattern to this problem.

Duplicate of bug 397993 ? You can find out by deleting all history. If there's a significant improvement, it's a dupe of bug 397993.
First back up your places.sqlite file in case you want it back.

Thanks - I've cleared my history, will test for next couple of days and then confirm if it helps or not.
P.S. The places.sqlite file didnt really change in size after deleting my history, still at around 4.5mb.

Can also confirm that when issue occurs the hard disk is thrashing - as soon as the thrashing stops, Firefox resumes normal operation.

Maybe, I have 20+ of them - I'll remove them from my bookmarks and report back...

This bug has magically disappeared - don't know why, because I removed the bookmarks and history and it didn't appear to help. But now it's gone, so I guess this can be closed.
