User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070206 Firefox/3.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070206 Firefox/3.0.1 If the line height is not defined in the style sheet, it appears larger in Mac FF3. It has not changed in Win FF3. Example: Verdana 11px takes up 15px where it took up 13px before. This pushes all the copy down the page causing alignment issues. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Compare a screen capture of the same page in Mac FF 2 & 3 and Win FF 3. Actual Results: You will see that the copy has more line space in Mac FF 3. Expected Results: The line height should render the same when undefined as it did in previous versions. I am using the default theme. This issue also shows on the other designers Macs. We are having to go back and recode pages. So in a few days you will not see the issue.

Please look into this. We are having to add styles to fix this in Mac FF3. The we have to make sure that fix does not create issues in the other 8 browsers used to test our site.

I can reproduce this (in FF 3 and 3.0.1, on OS X 10.4.11 and 10.5.4), but am utterly mystified by it. I don't see the line height difference (between FF 3 and FF 2) on Windows or Linux. I also see a line height difference between 1.9.0-branch Camino (aka trunk Camino) and 1.8-branch Camino (e.g. Camino 1.6). On OS X the line height difference shows up both in screenshots and when you print to a PDF file. (This is what you'd expect, but I just wanted to make sure.) I don't see any difference in line height between the FF 2 display and that in Safari or Opera -- so, on the face of it, Mac FF 3 appears to be doing something wrong. Have any ideas, John? Feel free to cc others if you think they might be able to help.

The problem doesn't go away (in FF3) if you switch to a non-default theme (I tried Phoenix Reborn).

Possibly related to bug 450308.

Since this is a very old report, I'd like to close it if the issue isn't there anymore.
Steven, would you please check?
Thank you!

I no longer remember how to reproduce this. It's been a long time.
I think it's safe to resolve this WORKSFORME, which I'll do.
