When using "Open link in new tab" option in right-click menu, sometimes the new tab appears scrolled halfway down the page.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Log into www.gmail.com (has been verified repeatedly on GMail)
2. Right-click "Inbox" in left panel
3. Select "Open link in new tab" in menu.
4. Once new tab finishes loading, note that it is scrolled halfway down the page.
Actual Results:  
Browser window is scrolled halfway down page.

Expected Results:  
Page should load with scroll at the top of the page.

This may be an issue with GMail, as I am unable to reliably reproduce it on any other page (although I originally found the bug on Facebook).  GMail has been notified of this bug as well.  Only the "inbox" link in GMail causes the issue.

I've had this happen with Gmail but not with any other site.  I don't use Facebook a whole lot.  Dup of bug 382268?

Nope.  Unable to reproduce bug 382268, which is actually kinda weird, considering (my GMail bookmark is set to mail.google.com/mail/#inbox).  However, able to reliably reproduce this error, which is admittedly quite similar.

This bug was reported using Firefox 3.0 or older, which is no longer supported. The bug has also not been changed in over 500 days and is still in UNCO.
Reporter, please retest this bug in Firefox 3.6.10 or later using a fresh profile, http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/managing+profiles. If you still see this problem, please update the bug. If you no longer see the bug, please set the resolution to RESOLVED, WORKSFORME.

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.12 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
