It closes the open tab the next one that become activated. This is semi-rare behavior. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.open more than 2 tabs 2.push the common close tab button 3. Actual Results: two tabs will close Expected Results: the current activate tab should close only I keep thinking I might have doubled click. But my mouse is stable and I don't have nerve issues which can cause my finger to twitch.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:184.108.40.206) Gecko/2008070208 Firefox/3.0.1 This works fine for me so far. What is the value of browser.tabs.closeButtons in about:config? http://kb.mozillazine.org/About:config Does it also happen in safe-mode?
This is with closebuttons = 3. It is still happening probably 1 out of 20 times. I'm checking my mouse too, but so far my mouse seems fine in other programs.
Bug still present and do you have any addons installed? Some addons are known to mess with the tabs specifically closing them.
Yes I'm running 3.5.1 now. I have: Adblock Plus 1.1 FireGestures 1.5.1 Google Toobar 5.0.20090324W Greasemonkey 0.8.20090123.1 Microsoft .net framework assistant 1.1 I think it happens a lot less. However it happened to me twice in the last 2 weeks (I use firefox a few hours / day). It seems to happen worse when java is running.
Have you tried disabling the above plugins? Extensions can sometimes cause odd problems.
