User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98; ru) Opera 9.27 Build Identifier: 188.8.131.52 When you open some folder/newssgroup, TB position message list at last messages. Now, if you chage view of list (eg., View / Threads / Unread or View / Threads / All; View / Sorting / No threads or View / Sorting / Group by sort), TB changes content of messages list AND positions it at top, notwithstanding which message headers was shown before. The worser, it ignores if before changing view I open some message for reading - messages list will be positioned at top, as if there is no open message, although old message will be available in message body pane. Also, keys like M (Message / Mark), N (Jump / Next / Unread), P (Jump / Previous / Unread), etc will be ignoredm until I find and reopen openned message. Reproducible: Always
positioning issue is likely duplicate
Summary: No messages list reposition when chaging view of messages list → No messages list reposition when changing view of messages list, is not relative to last selected (remembered) message
(In reply to Wayne Mery (:wsmwk) from comment #1) > positioning issue is likely duplicate If this involves Threads, there's meta Bug 236849. Tentative search for dupes involving threads: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=%3Athun%2Cmail%20su%3Athread%20su%3Aremember%2Cforget%2Clos%2Cselect&list_id=6426482
As it stands, this bug is not in good condition, it's too hard to parse comment 0 which does not follow the prescribed structure for bugs. Arkady, pls provide more details with structure like this: Steps to reproduce (pls list every step) 1 do this 2 do that 3 ... Actual result - tb did this - tb did that Expected result - tb should have done this - tb should have done that Without such information, this bug will be closed incomplete.
