We should not be using our bug system for joke bugs! We are eroding the confidence of our users by doing so. Please see http://www.reddit.com/r/programming/comments/6udge/mozilla_team_trapped_by_rockslide_in_whistler/c04w6pt for one annoyed user. We must make it so that nobody can file bogus bugs to protect our project's image.
I disagree... Humor has its place even in Bugzilla. These types of bugs are few and far between, so I see no problem with one of them every once in a while.
I really think this is WFM. I see no conflict between making great stuff together and also having fun once in a while.
Damn that person needs a sense of humor. Workplaces shouldn't be that uptight that you guys can't have a little fun once in a while. Especially while making light of a situation.
It doesn't matter what you do, someone will always find cause to object. As it seems joke bugs have always popped in now and again, why change it when it's not harming anyone?
That guy needs to get a life. Seriously.
That guy should see how people work at Google. Kurt is right making a light of such situation was great idea.
Not making this wontfix because I don't think people should be irresponsible in their bugzilla use. But the particular case cited is a bad example of that, and given the circumstances I don't really think it was irresponsible, so the bug is invalid.

(In reply to comment #7) > Not making this wontfix because I don't think people should be irresponsible > in their bugzilla use. But the particular case cited is a bad example of > that, and given the circumstances I don't really think it was irresponsible, > so the bug is invalid. VERIFIED. This bug can only be INVALID, by reductio ad absurdum: - Let's assume that this bug is not INVALID. - Then bugs must never be created irresponsibly. - But comment #0 was irresponsible. - Which implies that the bug is INVALID. - Ergo, if this bug is not INVALID, then it is INVALID, quod est absurdum. - So the bug can only be INVALID, Q.E.D.
