Since Tags are a core and important feature of Bookmarks now, I believe its essential for users to be able to view bookmarks sorted by 'Tags' in the sidebar. The user should also be able to search bookmarks by Tags (also using operators like +, -, ! etc.)

What I have in mind is something similar to the Tagsifter extension (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/998).

And I don't believe this basic functionality should be left to extensions, as Tags is not an extended feature...its a core feature.

I would certainly like this, or a dedicated tag sidebar! However, we're not going to block the 3.1 release on having this.

as a side note, when you search in the sidebar or library, we match on tags
