User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008072820 Firefox/3.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008072820 Firefox/3.0.1 The bug encounters mostly on long blog threads - as the one I have linked. I could not reproduce it deterministically for myself but the issue happens if I try in less than 15 seconds. When switching to another window the view is refreshed and shows fine. I managed to create a screenshot using the "create screenshot after 5 seconds" option of screenshot application. I had the feeling it could be hardware or driver problem. I have tried on another box (totally different HW but same distribution - Ubuntu 8.04) and the result were the same. I could reproduce the problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a page with much text on it (flamed blog entries are ideal - see the one I have linked) 2. Set page zoom to a high level (I set it by pressing with ctrl++ 4 times) 3. Start scrolling down the text (holding the down arrow) 4. At some point some tiles of the page will stay onscreen while you can see the others scrolling under that. Actual Results: some tiles of the page will stay onscreen while you can see the others scrolling under that. Expected Results: Fine scrolling
This is probably a duplicate of bug 444238 and/or bug 447690. Do you see this only when the page is zoomed? Note: Putting file:// URLs into the URL field of a bug is not useful.
URL: file:///home/rizsi/Desktop/emlekszel_...
I did not mean to send a file:// URL. That was a mistake. Sorry. The bug I have reported reproduces on many (if not all) pages which are long enough. This real www URL is a good example for that: http://www.parkingenforcementforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3 or http://szakitshabirsz.blog.hu/2008/08/03/nem_tud_mit_kezdeni_az_erzelmeimmel?fullcommentlist In 447690 we see some real memory garbage too. In my case I see tiles of the page unscrolled while other tiles are scrolled normally. But all pixels seem to be the part of the page (as it can be seen on the screenshot). I have never seen real memory garbage as it can be seen on this screenshot of bug 447690: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=330997. I could not yet reproduce bug 447690 myself as the example URL requires registration. So in my opinion it may or may not be a duplicate.
I have tried it again. The problem occures without using the zoom too. I feel that without zoom I need to scroll longer before the page gets messy but I did not measure it exactly.
