I'm using google reader ..with a slight complx rss feeds..at a certain moment (i'm doing "mark all as read" for a page with several images) firefox removes the texts on the page ... when a mouse moved over it/
When i'm trying to switch to another tab ... it appears mixed with the "google reader" content.
When i'm trying to open firefox menu it clears the texts of the menus which i'm moving mouse over.

I made this screen with firebug , switchproxy viewstate size add-ons switched on ... BUT when i swithed it off and reopened browser .... this issue appeared again.

And another thing, can you please try in Safe Mode (http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode).

Today i reproduced only "visual mix of page content" in safe mode - 
1) opened google reader, 
2) opened another pages in tabs
3) pressed on "mark all as read" ..and switched to another tab without waiting for "mark all as read" finished.

so result : when i'm switching tabs it reveals changing content (links , active page menus of the page i'm switched to).

btw. i wrote this message .. and got situation - i cant' switch between tabs any more.

i'll try to reproduce the part about disappearing texts again later

i've opened reader , added rss http://drugoi.livejournal.com/ and opened it , found submarine picture with people on it  with horizontal scroll (12 August) and while page was loading moved scroll left to right some times

I've been heavily using Firefox 3 for weeks, and today is the first time this happened to me. I just want to confirm that Dan is not the only one who sees this bug.

David are you also using version 3.0.1? Or are you using a more recent version?

A most unusual bug, we haven't hand any other reports of it :(

Reporter, please update to Firefox 3.6.10 or alter. Firefox 3.0 is no longer supported and is no longer receiving updates. After you update, please create a fresh profile, http://support.mozilla.com/kb/managing+profiles, and test to see if your bug still exists. If you still the bug, then please post a comment with the version you tested against, and the problem. If the issue is no longer there, please set the RESOLUTION to  RESOLVED, WORKSFORME.

No reply from reporter, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.12 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
