Often, usually after the page is finished or almost finished loading, it will disappear and show the message:

Connection Interrupted
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again.

Sometimes I have to hit reload 2 or 3 times before it will load the whole page.  It happens frequently (about 1/3 of the time) when viewing the comments section at slashdot.org.  It also happened while loading the the embedded "top 100" frame on this (the firefox bug-reporting) page.  It also happens on other sites, but much less frequently.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to slashdot.org
2. click on a story
3. watch while the comments are loading
Actual Results:  
The page loaded and displayed (but the status bar still said "Transmitting data") and then it disappeared and showed the error message

Expected Results:  
Expected page to remain after finished loading.

I am on a satellite internet connection, and the max downstream varies from 2KB/s to about 40KB/s, depending on weather.  It seems the problem occurs much more frequently when the downstream is < 6KB/s.  I've been experiencing this bug on 3.0 and 3.0.1, but not on any version 2 releases.

I have had the same problem with Firefox 3.5 on Linux (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-GB; rv:1.9.1) Gecko/20090624 Firefox/3.5).  It happened on two separate pages of the site www.easyjet.co.uk.  Symptoms are exactly as described - the pages appeared to be fully loaded and were displayed long enough to read 2-3 lines of text, then replaced with the "connection interrupted" error.

As in the previous report, my connection was running slowly and intermittently.  I've used FF 3.5 at other times with no difficulty.

Reporter, please retest with Firefox 3.6.12 or later in a fresh profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). Also update your plugins (flash, adobe reader, java, quicktime, silverlight, etc.) Go to the developer's website and download the latest version from there. If you no longer see this issue, please close this bug as RESOLVED, WORKSFORME. If you do see the bug, please post a comment.

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.12 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
